Monster Manual Art by ReeboKesh - Updated 16/11/06

Hey all! Having come down with the drawing bug I've decided to take it upon myself to redraw (in my own style) all the 'cool' monsters from the Monster Manual starting with the letter A and eventually working my way to Z!

This monumentous task serves two purposes. One, it gives DMs a chance to show the players a pic of a monster without flicking to the usual MM page and showing the same old artwork (no offense to the artists!) and two, it allows me to showcase my work and hopefully pick up a commission from one of the fantasy based d20 companies.

Having done some superhero commissions for superlink publisher Amazing Labs I am hoping to get work on some fantasy based products.

Anyhoo for the moment the pics will remain penciled. I may ink and even colour them at a later date.

Without further ado here are the first two!

And the idea of the whole project is very cool. If I had more confidence in mine own ability, I would also attempt such a thing.

Great idea. Way back when...I was facinated with birds, so I took our animal encyclopeadia set and drew every bird in it--it took me over a year. If I had any resonable amount of time I would do the same thing that you are doing.

It would be really great if the other artists on the boards all chipped in with thier own interpretaions--not that I'd want to steal your thunder (I just think it would be a great thread to share and experience).

Funny you should mention animal encyclopeadia Wild Gazebo cause I'm using the mother of full colour photo animal encyclopeadias to reference some of the more real-world like monsters like the ACHAIERAI above.

I'm actually surprised no one else has thought of this idea before but yeah I think this would make an excellent Enworld artsist's project. I'll keep going as is but if Morrus wants to open a special thread for D&D art re-envisioning that's cool by me.

Hey guys here is my sketch of an Allip, and I mean sketch. I read the description in the MM and it mentioned that they are the spirits of people who committed suicide. I hope I captured that while still retaining the Allip's almost formless appearance.
