Monster PC with BAB 6 Multi-attack

Help me understand how to run a centaur as pc. I'm trying to figure this out based on DMG pages 22-24 and the introduction to the MM.

Some questions:

If the centaur in the MM has a STR 18 and a BAB of 4 (equal to HD (MM page 13)) why is its greatclub attack only +7, and not +8?

When a centaur gains 2 levels as a Fighter, the BAB becomes 6, which is the point at which characters normally gain the ability to make multiple attacks. How does this interplay with the fact that the centaur already has this capability, via its 2 hooves secondary attacks? If this Ftr2 centaur with a sword has closed with an opponent and makes a full attack, can it choose +6/+1 (without STR mod or aspects/weapon focus) with sword. Can it choose +6/sword then +1/+1 with hooves? What about +6/+1 sword and then +1 hoove? How about +6/+1 sword, and then +1/+1 hooves?

Thanks for any insight,
Vic20

Since it is a Large creature, it gets a -1 size modifer to attack, hence the +7.

The centaur Ftr2 could make a full attack with BAB +6/+1 (sword) and +1 (2 hooves). The hooves function as secondary weapons and are at -5 to the primary weapon (sword), and it can attack with both of them.

Forgot about that. Thank you!

That makes sense to me. I was looking for a literal spelling-out of how to handle this in the rules, but failed to find anything.

And don't forget that he does not get additional attacks for the hooves for higher BABs.

By this, do you mean that eventually the attacks would be +11/+6/+1 (sword) +1 (2 hooves)?

Thanks for the help!

No, eventualy the sequence would be
+11/+6/+1 (sword) +6 (2 hooves).

What he means is you never get a +6/+1 hooves, for instance: natural weapons don't get sucessive itteritiave attacks.

Thank you shilsen, Darklone, and Destil.

My take-away understanding is:

Secondary natural weapons listed for a monster in the MM will always be available to a character playing such a monster as a race. When making a full attack, the character will may utilize these natural weapons at 5 below their primary attack, in addition to secondary (and tertiary, etc.) attacks with normal weapons.

Please slap me if I'm wrong.

God for some rason when I read the title I as thinking of that broken ELH feat multi-shot. I can't get the image out of my head of a cenatur PC/fighter2 running around and shooting off multiple arrows as a standard action.
