I particularly like the Gorgon/Euryale/Medusa/Yuan-Ti/Stheno question. Tricksy, given the confused origins of those D&D monsters

Got 18/20. Answered ghoul for wight, and didn't answer the hobgoblin one. In both cases, it was hard to tell, because I'm guessing that's the 1e art, and I'm not familiar with it (though I've seen some of the pics before). The hobgoblin one I forgot to go back and answer, but it was a pretty generic humanoid to begin with, so it could have been goblin, orc, or hobgoblin (I was leaning twoard the last two). Same thing with the wight, in that case, I thought those bones were a corpse it had eaten, so I guessed ghoul. Salamander was the only other one I had a hard time with. I guessed forlarren right, and I have no idea what the even is, but I knew it wasn't the other 4. And then the quiz gives me a githzerai and githyanki side by side, which makes things really hard.

Only going to do it once, repeats will just skew the score.

I have not cracked open a 1E or 2E MM in 10 years, so 15ish is pretty scary.

Wish I could remember kanji in Japanese like that!

Haha, 15/20 and then 20/20. But I only got 20 the second time cause the only ones I wasn't sure about were the ones I got wrong the first time. I guess this just shows that yes, Dog Moon CAN sometimes learn from his mistakes.

Although even after 2 times, I still don't know what a Berbalang or a Forlarren is...

I've been steadily collecting Essentials products after a long hiatus from WOTC stuff, but I thought this quiz was probably the most fun thing they've put out in a long time!

I got that one from logical deduction, because they had cyclops spelled wrong.
