I'm gonna throw my vote with kreynolds.

If you advance the monster, it should get nastier poison. If you give it sorcerer levels, it gets spells instead.

(On the other hand, I believe Elemental / Planar familiars get their template abilities based on their master's Hit Dice, don't they? So I'd be willing to be convinced that class levels should add to 'monster HD' for Save DCs.)

Drow SR increases with Class Level, so I don't see why a wyvern or pseudodragon's poison shouldn't likewise increase.

A HD is a HD as far as I can tell.

Except Drow don't have monster HD. They only have class HD. Besides, when you add class HD to a dragon, it's spell-like abilities don't get any better. Only monster HD will do that.

True.

However, consider natural Feat progression. If a creature has monster HD, it adds its monster HD to its class HD to determine when it gets Feats.

I suppose "Savage Species" will make this stuff clearer...

I'm with kreynolds on this one -- class HD shouldn't pump up innate racial abilities. Drow SR is the exception that proves the rule.
