That power is an... encounter power? What the?

*runs to check MM*

Holy crap. It is. I have my printed notes, and they say it's an at-will. that'd explain why those things were KILLING my PCs.
To be fair, the Compendium lists Vicious Vines as an at-will power. Then again, it also specifies that the basic attack does "186+4 damage."

I think the Compendium entries should all have a "report an error" link.

Wow, awesome idea. XP for you! :)

Anyone know where we are supposed to report Compendium errors? Please tell me they at least have a location to centralize the process?

Yeah. It's good to know that it wasn't really my fault... just that of a typo. But, I suppose I should've double-checked things beforehand. Ah, well - the group survived with no major scars (except the dwarf, who has half of his face boiled off by an acid attack - but the player LIKES that, so it's all cool!)

Got another synergy - Skulk Zombies (from Open Grave) and an undead soldier (I like the Dread Zombie).

Put the Dread Zombie into a position in an open room, and when it engages a Player, the Zombies (about three or four of them) will move up behind. Then, using their hit and run attack, one will move into flanking position, take an attack (getting the +2d6 damage bonus!) and keep moving away - without getting hit by an AoO. Then, the next Zombie in line does this... and the next. The player has to either move away from the dread zombie and focus attacks on the skirmishers (who will just delay until the dread gets into a flank position again, and then begin their little dance of death), or he'll have to kill the dread zombie, all the while taking a possible 6d6 points of sneak attack damage a round!

For what it's worth, I wouldn't drop this one on my players, as it's a bit too "gamist". But, I do like the Skulk Zombies, and they did use their hit and run + sneak attack combo a few times against the poor Warlock last session.
