Monsternomicon Review

For those of you who have been asking. I also included the list of monsters and their CRs at the end.

A great way to use the book would be with the Liber Bestarius from Eden Studios. While Lord Tarravok and his reavers are already a frightening group to encounter imagine what would happen if Lord Tavvarok was radically modified and became (instead of his strange semi-lichdom) an Iron Lich.

Now that's a scary monster!

Now give him a small army of thralls and watch as he plunges your entire campaign into a state of war followed by evil darkness.

While I do feel that the Monsternomicon is the best of the third-party monster books (so far) it's important that I make clear just how cool Liber Bestarius is. If you can, I recommend buying both of them.

(Yes, I mentioned this review in another thread. And then realized more people would see the review if I actually placed it in a thread clearly stating "Hey, review here!")

Liber Bestarius Book

Wow, I just checked out Eden Studios website. Liber Bestarius looks pretty cool. That Reaver is defiently something I could use. Does the book have artwork for each monster in it?

Yes, artwork for every monster . . .

And very cool artwork. It's a really good book of monsters. Very scary, very powerful monsters.

I highly recommend both books.

Liber Bestarius is a really good book, I was fortunate enough to buy it at the Con and am very glad I did. I encourage anyone who has the $ to grab this puppy.

I had just about enough of monster books (lots of beast started to looked the same) and was going to slow down on them but then Eden's Liber Bestarius came out. It is a very nice product and was glad I picked it up and I said okay that it for a while only to see Monsternomicon at GenCon, I had to have it!

Both books are pleasing to the eye and very balanced. One of the best things is they provide usable monsters.
