Wow, we really disagree! The art was so awful to me that I couldn't even read the book. Total turn-off; big ugly scribbled pictures everywhere that made me alternately gag, laugh and cry.
I don't need another monster book anyway, especially one so narrowly focused. But if I did, I wouldn't pick this up just on principle because the art is so cartoony and amateurish. The whole book looks cheap and fan-made, IMO. If the art is bad in a monster book, I won't buy it, because I can't get excited about using dorky-looking monsters. I far prefer Privateer Press' "Monsternomicon" over this. Now that book was gorgeous through and through.
