Monte Chat - Excited about AU

Before last night, I hadn't really been following up on the Arcana Unearthed development. I knew there was a new Monte book coming out... but there's ALWAYS a new Monte book coming out. After last night's chat session w/ Monte here on EN World, however, I'm ALL KINDS OF EXCITED about the release of Arcana Unearthed. I did think the conversation was a bit top-heavy with lots of very similar magic-oriented questions, but Monte revealed a lot of very interesting details about the new classes and races as well. Now I can't wait for the book to come out!

I'm very excited too. Magisters seem very cool.

Some people commented in the chat that this and that stuff in AU isn't actually new, but has been used in books or whatnot. For me thats not an issue at all. I want AU to have lots cool things from around the fantasy phenomenon well implemented into d20-style rules. Wether or not someone has already thought up them is really of little consequence, I want something I can use in my games. Judging from BoEMs Monte might be just the right man to do this project satisfyingly

This far it seems that AU will do just this for me. It's all looking good - I've suffered from DM burnout for a while now and been just a player in a friends campaign, but it seems I'll kick off a campaign with AU in the summer. (Or a crazy 'School for the gifted' X-Men D&D rip-off with Savage Species, or maybe a little of both, you never know )
