No. I read "Glass Prison", and while I loved the ideas, the voice and the pacing were pretty clumsy. His new book could definitely be worth a read, but it'll be one that I read a bit of in the store first to see if his style has picked up.
If Tolkien (J.R.R. that is) came back from the dead and wrote a new book I wouldn't read it without knowing anything about it, so why would I read Monte's book just because of his name?
If it was an audio download I could get from my library, then yes. That's my current source of new fiction that I use on my commutes. Reading at home I have a ton of fiction books I haven't gotten to that I want to so I'm not looking for new physical fiction books to add to the pile.
