Surprised I could find no mention of this product so far... perhaps I'm just missing the appropriate threads....

Anyway, I bought this about 3PM today, and I just wanted to say I'm very pleased with it, from the first moment I clicked on the link from the Main EnWorld page that took me to a very atmospheric advert with some nice music, to downloading and actually reading the product itself I have been veyr happy....and not just because I love elves completely :D

The book is 101 page of elfin goodness.....so what do you get for your $6.95 (sweeeeet). Well first off you get not one PDF but two! thats right, you don;t just get the beautiful full colour PDf with beautiful borders and lovely technicoloured goodness.....BUT you also get a black and white copy for those of you who hate printing off ink intensive PDF's....

Inside you are greeted by sections on every aspect of elven society, life, customs, dress, eriqutte, language, food and drink, health, lifecycle and more..... but you also get the D20 goodness of new Elven Arms, Armour, special weapons, magic weapons, arrows, artifacts, cursed items.... 7 new Prestige classes for elves, new domains, new spells....and all this with some good art, and some FANTASTIC ART (enter Mr Claudio Pozas).... frankly anything with Claudio's art in gets my vote anyway....but if you like Elves... this is a book you can't afford to miss.

Just for the record I'd probably buy this again if it was in print too :)

Oh one other really neat thing about the PDf is a journal of Aurora Daerweth, found at the bottom of some pages throughout, syou cana ctually click on this to read through the pages as if it were a journal as it jumps you to the appropriate new place.... now not exactly earth shattering.but it's a neat little addition.

Top work guys!

I am thinking of buying it. Just bought my new CD burner so I am looking for PDF's now. There is a big thing on this product on the main page.

Thats all

Are there things in it which will make those of us who hate elves, hate them even more?

You know, like elven sub-races that have every possible good set of ability characteristics for any class that some elf-lover might want to play . . .

Crap about how Magic Flows In Their Veins Like It Does In No Other Race . . .

Maybe an improved Bladesinger prestige class?

And if I'm lucky, a section about how some elves have figured out a way to make prosthetics for missing limbs that are extra cheaty in some way -- just like in the 2E book on elves!

Tell me, tell me do! I can always use more Cheaty Elven Stupidity to throw at my players.

:D

Well its full of elven goodness soby that very fact then yes its full of things that will make the unenlightened hate elves even more.. but as all Elf lovers know its only because you feel inadequate when compared to elven standards and superiority..but for that the elves forgive you ;) LOL

No nothing unbalancing like that...

Crap about how Magic Flows In Their Veins Like It Does In No Other Race . . .

No no need to restate the obvious :)

Maybe an improved Bladesinger prestige class?

That is already available in a web enhancement from Wizards, but Moon Elves has a couple of good Elven blade related PRC's, such as the Sword Singer and Lamrida (Runed Blade)

And if I'm lucky, a section about how some elves have figured out a way to make prosthetics for missing limbs that are extra cheaty in some way -- just like in the 2E book on elves!

2E Book on elves regarding Prosthetic limbs? as I recall the only book that mentioned prosthetic limbs for elves in 2E was the Drow and the Underdark? but if you consider thier skill at craftsmanship, and skill at magic....well the realms of whats possible isn't entirely limited.

Tell me, tell me do! I can always use more Cheaty Elven Stupidity to throw at my players.

You know you sound just like one of the players in my group...do I know you ? I suppose you like Halflings and Kender too.... :D

I like the book, but the Prestige Classes were something to be desired. I don't like +x to skill y are boring. The couple of sword ones were good!

BTW, it's purty!

I didn't mind the bonus to skill parts of the PRC's if anything I thought it was a novel approach so far unseen in Prestige classes. Admitedly the bonuses might not compare next to some benefit or extra ability that other PRC's might offer, but it is is still quite nice to see some take that approach.

Some of the requirements top join the PRC's did seem a little high for what was being offered, but nevertheless all were approrpiate to the nature of the PRC itself which was good.

As for being Purty....isn't it though.mmm full of elven goodness :D
