Wow.....I loved her as Sarah Connor....Gonna be hard to hate her as Cersei...and seeing her as a blonde....
Still no casting for Bran yet....that's gotta be a hard one.

I'll have to take a wait-and-see approach with Hadley as Cersei. Needless to say, she is far from the first actress I thought of. Then again, I haven't seen her in anything besides TSCC, so she may be great.

She also played the queen in 300. GRRM's blog had a pic of her as a blonde from some other movie, too.

He's posted picks of everyone they've cast so far.

AFAIK, this is still a pilot -- I haven't heard that HBO's committed to a whole season yet.

After watching The Other Boleyn Girl, I wish they'd cast Eric Bana as Robert Baratheon. He was great as Henry VIII in that movie.

Eric Bana may have been too expensive. They might already have some cost issues because of production. I hope they can use good locations like LotR used. Otherwise they will have to CG in some of the better overland shots.

I'm still not sold on Lena as Cersei, and I think Jaime looks much too old. However, I guess Cersei/Jaime are supposed to be mid-thirties or so, and Jaime's actor is 39, so it's close. I guess I always imagined them as younger looking than either of the actors are.

I love that the guy from Still Standing is Robert.

I felt the same way, but after talking to Nicolaj about the part and seeing him up close (as it happens, we work out at the same gym), I definitely think he can pull it off. He doesn't really look 39, and he has been training hard (I assume to look the part) for a good while now. But yeah he is probably the actor that looks the less like how I imagined the characters.
