Meh. I'm hoping for a HD DVD version of the Expanded Edition Trilogy. I want to be able to watch a movie on one disc playback, rather than on two discs.
That's not likely to happen as the picture/audio quality will take up tons of space which is why the discs hold more data.

And if you are just referring to the EE on a higher capacity disc, that may not work either as each of the EE's took up two 9 GB discs. The HD-DVD discs can hold up to 30 GB right now. Blu-Ray can hold up to 50 GB. So maybe that is the way to go. Of course, I could be a bit off about the full 9 GB of the current EE's so it may be possible down the line.

But the EE were not just the movies. There was tons of comentaries, interviews and such. If you but the Extended movies alone they may fit on one disc.

I bought the theatrical releases and the expanded versions. I don't care how much more stuff they come up with, I'm not buying any more DVDs.

Ditto.

Me, too.

Agreed.

I feel the same way.

QFT.

My statement you quoted, I did mean HD-DVD (without the hypen).

Then again, need to know if the format war will have a victor or will everybody else just make players read all formats (DVD/HD-DVD/Blu-Ray).

All the extras were on the other 2 discs of the EE. There were four discs in the set. Each were dual layered and the movies were the only things on the first two discs besides the commentaries (which take up less space than features as they are just audio).

Your right I forgot the EEs were 4 disks.

You know what that means. It's been to long since I watched the trilogy.

Guess what I'm doing this weekend. :D :D :D
