More Templates?

Hello,

in preparing for my new campaign i surfed around and read books for crunchie bits to "steal" *G* I read Piratecats storyhour [insert wild cheering and a standing ovation] and was really intrigued by his fantastic use of templates to create non-standard challenges for his Players.

Now, i have the Templates from the MMI+II but the Ghulish template that PC uses for example is no where there. I am now on the hunt for more templates since i am currently on a roll. :) Any other noteworthy publications out there with good templates? maybe even a product of pure template goodness? What about fanmade Templates? Is there a "How-to-do-your-own-templates" guide somewhere?

Since i cant use the search function here i wasn´t able to dig threads up for this topic, even so i am shure it has come up before. Any advice, direction hints and tips would be appreciated.

My two favorite sources of templates that I own are FFG's Monster's Handbook and WotC's Savage Species.

The MH is an excellent resource for giving your monsters extra depth and unexpected characteristics -- it's a sort of handbook of monster design, rather than a bestiary. It's got plenty of templates in it, and the rest of the book also seems like it'd be right up your alley. You should definitely check this one out. :)

I don't have much use for the monster class system in Savage Species, but I do like its selection of templates. They tend to be fairly "basic" in concept -- gelatinous, winged, multi-headed -- but that also makes them pretty generally useful.

I'm in the process of listing ALL the templates I have now. I'm up to several pages. Entries come from green ronon, mongoose, wotc, scarred lands, malhavoc, necromancer, blizzard and several more.

I may have TOO many options at ease soon. (like that's ever been a problem :)

see the link in my sig for a mummy template I wrote.

Bodies and Souls is a pdf with 20 possession templates.

Book of templates either normal or deluxe are both great.

Denizens of darkness has a ton of horror templates.

Warcraft manual of monsters has a bunch of undead templates in their scourge section.

Bastion's Out for blood has a bunch of variant vampire templates.

GF monsters the pdf previewed in my sig also has a variant vampire template.
