Moreaus?

First Post
I've been thinking about running a small espionage-thriller type campaign (think Metal Gear Solid and you won't be far off) where the Moreaus are a decent part of the campaign world. I've heard that there's an issue of Dungeon/Polyhedron that details the campaign setting with them that was left out of the d20 Modern book.

Which issue is this? And is the information contained within worth the search for the back issue? I'm particularly interested in crunchy stuff, not so much in general campaign fluff.

Thanks!

Hi,

yes, it is quite good. Its named 'Genetech' and it have a lot of informations. It is a complete campaign guide, with underground groups, with races and so on. But I don't remember the issue. sorry.

Well, Tomiro is right about the name of the setting, it's Genetech. It appears in Dungeon issue 96 (the gladiator issue).

However, I think he has a different issue than what I have, as I would hardly call it a 'complete campaign guide'. It is mostly information about some real world agencies and how they would deal with the existance of genetic modified humans. It is mostly fluff (good fluff though), with one new moreau (orca) and Franks, which are genetically engineered humans, not hybrids like moreaus. There are also two prestige classes aimed directly at moreaus.

Also included is a short 'sample guide' which is really a series of linked adventures about a group of moreaus escaping from a government training camp. It could be fleshed out into a campaign, but it's not a full set up like other mini games. If you want it just for crunchy bits, you'll be disappointed... but the issue was sitting right on my nightstand because I'm using it in my d20 Modern campaign, so I approve of it.

GeneTech was the setting that was removed from the Main Rule book for space reasons. Poly then printed those pages. These is about the same amount of info as the rest of the campaigns at the back of the book.

At the moment I am trying to find my copy of Kromozone (Amazing Engine) to use as background for a Genetech game.
