Moria: Balin's Tomb and NOW, the Bridge of Khazad-Dum

kengar

First Post
I built a battle board for a Moria skirmish using Savage Worlds "Showdown" rules. I used WorldWorks scenery and a combination of GW (LOTR & HeroQuest), Reaper & em4 miniatures. Pictures below:

Wow that looks great! That must have taken quite a while to set up. I wish I had a chance to play it. I take it your a fan of SW - has it replaced D&D for your group?

Thanks!

What took the longest was painting all the #@$% orcs. ;)

re: Savage Worlds, I'm a big fan. I dropped d20 like a hot potato once SW hit our table. I still play a little classic D&D though (Moldvay B/X) :)

Once again, nice job! Picked up a copy of SW on your recommendation n- some cool stuff in there for sure!

I just painted that reaper demon. I was so disappointed in mine I bought another to try again :(.

I'm sure your "failure" puts my paint job to shame. :)

SW is a very cool system, it runs faster than d20 but still allows for a lot of detail. Converting stuff from various settings and genres is absurdly easy too.

Here's a couple more shots of the minis used:

and, of course, the Balrog (I had already posted this pic in a different thread)
