Moria box set for LOTR-RPG ... any good?

I have it and like the adventure ideas it contains. They have a different feel from D&D, which I guess is reasonable to expect since it's not D&D.

The actual physical maps are not very inspiring - the ones found in the very late 2e supermodule "Axe of the Dwarvish Lords" are much, much prettier, and I believe they can be found on WotC's map gallery. However, as I recall (I don't have the Moria boxed set easily at hand), there is a nifty system for customizing Moria, so no two campaigns will be alike.

Decipher's basic system for their Lord of the Rings RPG is not very different from d20. It uses 2d6 as the main mechanic, so you'd have to adjust some DC's (TNs, or Target Numbers, in LotR RPG) and a few other things, but it shouldn't be much of a chore.

Feel free to upload the rest if you have the inclination.
At the risk of completely hijacking the thread I'll post another:

What software did you use?
They are drawn (mostly) in photoshop.

I've played it once, though making a character was a bit of a chore if I remember correctly. I had borrowed a friends book to get my character done, but come game night I still wasn't sure if I had done it correctly (though maybe that was just me being a bit dim, that and not having the time to read 100% of the book :\ ).

I haven't read the book on Khazad-dûm itself, but the set's smaller book on the dwarves of Middle-earth, by Chris Seeman, is an extremely sensitive and plausible expansion of Tolkien's dwarf lore.

Actually, that was MERP, not Decipher's Lord of the Rings, IIRC. Decipher didn't make that many supplements.
