"Hmm, I'm first in line then?" Roy couldn't help but give a little chuckle as he was led from the main hall, one white gloved hand tipping his hat to the ladies as he went. "I do hope a few of you will be cheering for me. Might as well start things off with a bang."

Still grinning he left the hall, a side glance cast to his opponent, a wide, tooth filled smile cast in the rather imposing man's direction. "I hope you'll accept my appologies, but I want to make the point that I'm not to be trifled with."

He paused for a moment then, seemingly thoughtful before at last looking up to meet the others eyes. "Tell you what. Promise me that you will never kill anyone during the course of this tournament, and I'll bring you in unconsious instead of dead. Live or die. Your choice really."

"Hmph. The rules favor bringing in living enemies anyway. Why would anybody want death when life is of greater benefit to the contestant?"

"Tell you what. Promise me that you will never kill anyone during the course of this tournament, and I'll bring you in unconsious instead of dead. Live or die. Your choice really."

Mord regards his much smaller opponent for a moment without responding, his grey eyes expressionless.

"If your wish is to be taken more seriously, then perhaps you should consider dressing...." He pauses for a moment, considering his words.

"Differently."

He turns and moves swiftly toward the designated field. If he heard Roy's final comment, he gives no indication.

"CREATURE NOT ANIMAL!! CREATURE IS CREATURE OF TORMENT!! WILL HAUNT MEATLING'S DREAMS!! MEATLING'S LIFE WILL BE WAKING NIGHTMARE!! MEATLING IS THE ANIMAL!! CREATURE WILL ENJOY HUNTING MEATLING!!"

"Creature? Some sort of animal that helps you?" Khorli asks Malefika.

Malefika smiles at Creature as it appears, but her smile darkens.. as does her skin, as the suddenly dark-skinned elf turns about, seperating the two and standing between Khorli and Creature. "NEVER. Call him. An Animal." She smiles sweetly and her skin lightens again "we don't like that word."

The group turns then, the momentary tension interupted by the rude vampire.

"Undead... unchanging.. yech, I can't believe that something like you would even be allowed in here with us. We are the future, we are changing, and effect change... you are nothing but a stale old corpse, and undeserving of our attention. However, if you WANT my attention..." Her eyes burn as she glances around at the rest of them. "Just ask me... out"
She turns and gestures to the outside, where the combatants went.

Creature of Torment snaps at Khorli, teeth millimeters from Khorli's face.

Khorli scrabbles ineffectively backwards, hissing in fear. Her cloak is blown about by her efforts, revealing glimpses of lustrous black fur, coils of scales, and demon-like wings attached to her arms. Trying to regain some dignity, Khorli draws herself up to her full height of about four feet.

"It seems you are right. I am an animal. I am not ashamed of this. Why are you?"

Roy and Mord are led to the 16th tunnel, which spirals upwards for about ten minutes of travel. Afterwards, it opens up into a wide cavern, filled with smoke. Unable to see further than 10 feet ahead of them, the two warriors are placed into their starting positions and pointed in the correct direction of their opponents. A loud voices booms through the cavern, announcing the beggining of the first official match. FIGHT!!!

Initiative rolls are as follows.

OOC: For the record, I'll be rolling initiatives, just so the pcs know where their actions stand, and nat 20s on opposed checks are +10 to roll. All other rolls shall be done by the pcs, but they shall be sent to me via e-mail with all the other action descriptions they don't want other characters to know.

Creature of Torment begins to circle Khorli. Calmly, patently, Stalking. Seemingly to fade from Khorli's sight only appearing at the edge of her vision.

"Animals are meatlings. Meatlings are hunted. The hunted are killed. Those that are killed are consumed. Creature is here because strong food is good food."

Creature of Torment begins to circle Khorli. Calmly, patently, Stalking. Seemingly to fade from Khorli's sight only appearing at the edge of her vision.

"Animals are meatlings. Meatlings are hunted. The hunted are killed. Those that are killed are consumed. Creature is here because strong food is good food."

"That is a wonderful trick." Kohrli says, closing her milky white eyes. "Tell me, how far does your powerl extend? Can you deal with the wolf's nose, the ears of the fox, the sonar of the bat? Or is sight all this trick is good for?"

When khorli cloes her eyes Creature of Torment can not be detected. She senses everything around her, yet Creature of Torment is not there. From over her shoulder a whisper filled with blood lust comes into her ear.

"Meatling tell Creature."

What every one else sees is that Creature of Torment started to circle and then when Khorli spoke Creature of Torment started to slowly sink into the ground. When Khorli finished speaking Creature of Torment rises from the ground behind her to whisper something in her ear.
