Which oath is the most tenacious in terms of soaki

I note conquest has access to armor of Agathys.

of course ancients has the Eldritch ward and resistant to spell damage at 7th?

All can cast heroism...

I was looking at heavy armor master to help with a character that keeps getting back up.

so which oath has more of that tenacious resiliency?

well I play with friends. It would be. However, I am trying for a single classed character this go around.

I'm not sure armor of agathys is that useful for resilience - you are a half caster, so your slots are only half as good. It's as much an offensive than defensive spell if used properly. It can be made better with use of things like damage resistance, parry or heavy armor mastery to make the spell last longer.

Oath of the ancient at level 7 is certainly durable - we had one in the campaign I ran.

There are a number of racial choices that increase durability, and fighting style, obviously, but I'm not sure one paladin subclass is much better than another.
