Is it me or are some of the monsters in the New Monster Manual 2 a little weak?

Although, I plan to use a few of them as bodygards

Depends. I think the Death Knight works out fine.

The Loxo is pretty Feind Folio in my opinion. Slightly freakish appearance going for it, and absolutely nothing else. Bit mysterious, really.

I might say the same of the stone spike and the minor demons taken from the Chainmail game (the "Abyssal fill-in-the-blank" demons), except for the Abyssal Maw, which is lent some zest by its Rend Fallen ability. Still, I'm glad to see some of the Chainmail creatures show up.

Furn recommended the Bone Ooze to me, and now that I have the book, I agree. It's icky-licious!

Is the Death Knight the same as the one printed in Dragon Magazine a few months ago?

Far as I know TBoarder. Even so, not everyone GOT that issue. So this is just a way to ensure it came to everyone.
