With the loss of the FF the Mottul force was cut off from the anticipated reinforcements and quickly defeated. Many nobles were captured and held for ransom while others made desperate attempts to flee Eidos and a few actually were able to flee off the island by jumping over the side.
Though the king is dead his son remains alive and will claim the throne supported by most of the noble houses.
For Fina’s steadfast support of the ruling family and extraordinary efforts in the defense of Eidos, she was granted more land and seams to be in high favor with the King.
For your roles the King has bestowed the honorary title Defender of Eidos upon each of you. A mostly useless title that come with only one benefit, for the next few months and possibly years you are on the ‘A’ list for celebrations and official events. Only those with the most sincere political ambitions have anything to gain from the title.
You are the talk of the town, so to speak, for many months following the main battle. In Pelion (Fina’s lands) and the Crown Lands you are recognized on sight by most of the population ( renown +4 in this area) and every one in Eidos has heard of you (renown +2). You also hear rumors that you are quite infamous in areas of Mottul (renown -2) and that some of the political factions in Eidos are none too happy with you for helping reinstate the King’s line.
You are however also awarded one magic item each to be created for you by the King’s personal mages. This magic item can be up to 50,000 gp in value (ref gets final approval) and can not be used to enhance an existing magic item.
In addition, Fina declares that you shall all receive a share of the spoils (standard practice to reward those who have shown exceptional valor or value during times of war) for your service to her during the conflict. As is customary the award is made after the last captive is ransomed. It took Fina a few years to finish the process but it proved much in your favor owing to the importance of some of the nobles you captured on the FF. Each of the PC’s’ are awarded 100,000 gp as your portion of the spoils.
Fina also offers each of you a medium sized estate with hereditary title in a location of your choosing (this is where you get to write up your estate - the more you put into it the more you get). The estate must be within the land she controls but otherwise you are free to place it as you wish.
We will pick up 15 years in the future. Age your PC’s and cohorts as appropriate and apply any age modifiers. You may wish to provide a history of your PC for the last 15 years (see my e-mail on this subject).
