Mount for a non-evil Stone Giant Druid?

Gilladian

Adventurer
I'm trying to decide what (non-dragon) mount a Stone Giant Druid would ride... this is 3.5e, but I really just want a few suggestions from ANY source; I can mock up stats if I turn out to need them.

I thought of a roc, but that's really TOO big. And I really don't want to take 2-3 hours to browse through all my monster books!

So, what springs to your mind? Thanks!

I'm going to second Dinosaur.

Specifically, I'm thinking Megaraptor. (See below).

The MegaRaptor is a bipedal dinosaur, similar to the Velociraptor (Deinonychus in D&D terms) and T-Rex. Like them it's a carnivore.

It has a base speed of 60, same as a riding horse, and has the Run feat, same as a horse. It's Huge, which it has to be to carry a Large rider (like a stone giant). It's an "Animal", which means it's in the Druid's wheel house.

This creature is a larger version of the deinonychus, standing about 12 feet tall with a total length of 24 feet. It has the same appearance, habits, and abilities of the smaller version.
Pounce (Ex): If a megaraptor charges, it can make a full attack.
Skills: A megaraptor has a +8 racial bonus on Hide, Jump, Listen, Spot, and Survival checks.

If the DM is willing to be a little creative, you could also use a Dire Horse (MM II, page 75). It's only Large though, so that's where the DM has to be "creative" and make it Huge. It's the same hit dice as the MegaRaptor, but the CR is two points lower, and it's less likely to eat the rest of the party's mounts.

I like the idea of the Dinosaur, but the modified Dire Horse may be a better fit.

GAAAAH ! I left out the key word when it comes to mounts - FLYING!!!

She is pursuing the party, who managed to sneak into the castle and steal a very important magic sword, and is chasing them down to either get it back, or to convince the PCs to do a task for her; in return, she will convince the Giant King not to attack the human city the PCs are from. She really needs to be able to fly to reach/find the PCs with any sort of realism (yes, I know :)). Maybe a pteranodon?
