Mount for Paladin. DM needs advice.

And while you're giving your PC's predatory creatures to be their mounts, try and remember that the majority of their companions will be riding ordinary horses, which will be ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED and uncontrollable in the presence of such creatures.

Not to mention when they try and enter a town, or meet a cohort of the King's cavalry, causing mayhem and fear amongst domestic animals and simple peasants wherever they go.

If your player needs a special mount, go for something a bit more "horsey", like a Unicorn or Hippogriff.

However, the ability of the PC to fly takes a lot of control away from the DM (yuo).

I have a Ranger/Barbarian in an African-themed game who used animal empathy to calm a giant ape that an enemy had been riding. He's not much of a mounted combat guy, but the image of this half-feral orc charging on the back of a giant gorilla is too cool.

So weird mounts are definately cool.
