Mounted Charge question...

Actually, I think the rule says "any line" which means you have to check all four corners of your square. If any of them is affected, you can't charge.

I could be wrong, but that's what I get out of it.

I concur.

Second, if any line from your starting space to the ending space passes through...

It's hard to argue that that applies to only one corner of your square.

The last think I want to see in the game is more spirited charge, lance, rhinohide, ki critical, etc, etc, x8 charges with 4 for 1 power attack by holding the lance in two hands and having frenzied berserker levels, etc, etc.
x8?

Someone found six different "doubles damage" notes? G'ha. I think I'd toss out any book that had more than two, and only allow sensible sources to stack.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone did. I was making a slight, and I do mean slight, exaggeration to further the point. In a similar vein though, I cobbled together a build that, by level 16, could get 2 shots per round with a bow at x7damage per shot (auto crit if they hit)... all day long <edit> oops, only x7 on one enemy per day... x6 on a few more, and x5 the rest of the day</edit>. With four burst properties on the bow, that is 48d10+8d6 in elemental damage alone.

Let it be known that, only in the most wildly overpowered one-off campaign would I ever attempt to bring something like this to the table.
