D&D 5E Mounted Combat rules for players

I created some rules for mounted combat in 5e focused more on players. Where possible I tried to fit with existing rules like social interactions, sidekicks, etc. It works with the existing Mounted Combat rules as well as the rules from Arcadia #1 but have a player focus.

At a quick glance it looks pretty decent. I'll have time later in the week to look it over in more detail. But yes, I agree, like much of 5E, mounted combat rules are very sparse and feel incomplete.
