Mounted spellcasters

For my upcoming new campaign, the party cleric is specializing in the mounted feat chain with the intention to eventually become a hospitaler. The player was asking if it was possible to either use the ride-by attack feat to deliver touch spells (he mostly had in mind riding through melee to heal party members, I think), or to get a similar feat which would allow him to do so.

I seem to recall some feats for casting from horseback, but can't remember where I saw them. Does anyone know of any that would apply? Or can I just let him use Ride-by Attack for this purpose without things getting too imbalanced?

Ride-by-Attack with a touch spell should not be a problem. If he casts the spell while the horse is moving he needs to make a Concentration check of DC 10 + spell level (15 + spell level if it is galloping).

I could see a new feat come of this:

Mounted Casting
Requires: Mounted Combat, Ride-by Attack

Effects: Spellcasters with Mounted Casting no longer need to make a concentration check to cast while moving. Casting while galloping requires a reduced check of 5 + spell level.

there's no spell on the run or spring spell so I could see some problems. But touch spells include the touch in the asting of the spell so amybe they could be used with things like spring atack and or ride by attack. At the very least he could cast the spell and then the next round ride by with it.

No - I think it should be:

Effects: Spellcasters with Mounted Casting may substitute a ride check for the normal concentration check to cast while moving. A failed ride check means the rider failed to ride smoothly enough for easy spellcasting, but my still make a concentration check as normal.
