Wasn't there at one time a few weapons especially for mounted characters. Besides the lance I can't find anything. I thought that the Sabre gave a +1 to mounted characters but wasn't there more?

I don't know of any weapons specifically for mounted characters, though mounted PCs do gain a +1 to attack while mounted, if their target is smaller than their mount (bonus from Higher Ground).Dareoon Dalandrove said:

The FR Campaign Book has the stats for a Saber, it provides a +1 circumstance bonus when used in mounted combat.

Sure theres the Cutlass, Saber, and Maul, followed by four other exitc melee weapns and one exotic ranged (the chakram). Nothing about a horseman's bow but wouldn't that just be a composite shortbow?

If you are going for ranged I recommend the short bow. I think the long bow specifically states that you can't shoot it from a mounted position or maybe it just gives a large pentalty. A cross bow would work also, but it's slower unless you get the added feats.
And I you do get a +2 circumstance for higher ground, but getting this bonus may depend on if you are firing at something directly under you or out in the distance.
