Movement Questions: Tumbling and Spring Attack

Does the movement in a tumble or in a spring attack have any restrictions (ie in a straight line)?

No, a charge has to be in a straight line but not Spring Attack or Tumble.

Thanks Crothian, I can always count on a quick answer from you. With spring attck can I move through many threatened areas, attack and move back? Say, a bad guy was standing 5' behind his two guards who themselves are 5' apart. With spring attack could I move past the two guards, in front of the bad guy, attack and move back out (assuming I had the move) with out provoking AoO from ANY of them????

Spring Attack only protects you from the person you are attacking, not his buddies.

Spring Attack only protects you from AoOs from the person you're attacking.

If you had Tumble as well, it would protect you from 20' of movement past those two guards... and you only make 15' of movement in their threatened spaces, assuming the following layout :

The only way

The only way you could avoid AoO's from all 3 would be a combination of spring attack and tumbling, or just use tumbling if you can get through all 3 of their threatened squares with 20' of tumbling.
