My 10 favorite

1. Singles -- Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, etc
2. Bride of Chucky -- lots of good metal
3. Titan A.E. -- very cool mix of stuff.....Splashdown, Jamiroquai, and Electrasy really stand out
4. The Crow -- not a bad song in the bunch
5. Johnny Mnemonic -- one of the few redeeming qualities of this film
6. Forrest Gump -- one of the best classic rock anthologies out there
7. Judgment Night -- the first attempt at rock/rap crossover??? possibly.
8. Dracula 2000 -- Flybanger, Hed P.E., Monster Magnet.......whats not to like here?
9. The Thomas Crown Affair (1999) -- great music just to relax
10. Trainspotting -- solid punk compilation

Agreed on Singles, Crow and Judgement Night.*

I'd choose Heavy Metal, 1984, Legend, Godzilla, Strange Days, Koyaanisqatsi and Kontrol.

But honestly, there are others that might make the list on other nights: Cat People, Crossroads, Dead Man...

* the first rap/rock fusion was Run D.M.C. & Aerosmith doing "Walk this Way," followed by Anthrax & Public Enemy doing "Bring the Noize."

My top ten movie soundtracks in no particular order would be:
1) Rocky Horror Picture Show
2) Forrest Gump
3) From Dusk Till Dawn
4) A Mighty Wind
5) Moulin Rouge
6) American Graffiti
7) Tim Burton's Batman
8) Good Morning Vietnam
9) That Thing You Do
10) Star Wars

Who's the Man was a damn good soundtrack.

And if we looked outside movies, there are some lurking killers as well- the original soundtrack for Miami Vice was incredible!

Stuart Copeland has a collection of his soundtrack work on one CD, including the themes from The Equaliser and Rumble Fish.

and I thought I had a lot of soundtracks.....!

Not in any order and based on the 40 or I have-

1) The Crow
2) Punisher (Tom Jane version)
3) Matrix
4) Star Wars
5) Batman (M Keaton one)
6) Beverely Hills Cop
7) XXX

My taste in music is varied.....

Funny, I was just thinking about my favorite movie soundtracks the other day. I think my #1 favorite soundtrack is from Dream a Little Dream (yes, one of the last movies "the Corey's" did together). I used to listen to that soundtrack constantly back in the day. Had some really good songs on there, some oldies and current (well, current for the late 80s).
