Moving from D&D 3.0 to 3.5, what should I know?

I'm migrating (You mean to tell me that D&D books are mi'gratery?)
(sorry...a littly Python humor there...won't happen again)

Ok...I'm migrating (not converting an existing campaign, but would start fresh) from 3.0 to 3.5. I have the little booklets from WotC and it looks like it's simple enough.
Any special issues I should be aware of, or anything that I REALLY need to keep an eye out for?

thanks!

Don't expect it to be the same. DR is way different. The booklets help, but are not all-inclusive.

all of the PRCs in your splatbooks (sword & fist, defenders of the faith, etc...) have changed slightly and moved to the complete series of splatbooks.

other than that, it's mostly just some hardcore mechanical changes, and better explanaion/revision of combat rules.

i suggest going over the combat rules very thoroghly.

i'd also suggest looking damage reduction/resistance as presented in the 3.5 mm, iirc it has signifigantly changed also.

have fun! i'm personally a lot happier with 3.5 than 3.0.

One of the biggest block of changes in 3.5 seems to be in spells.

Does anyone have a full list of the spells which changed level? ... changed function?

I'd say the most important thing to pay attention to is spells. Many of them have been tweaked in small ways or don't work exactly the same as in 3.0, so its best to read them through instead of assuming they've not changed. :)

DR different, haste a LOT different, a lot of little changes in spells...

Some new feats which make some changes to counterspelling.

It's subtle - but the differences are real. Don't assume *anything* when it comes to a spell description. Read it first to satisfy yourself there are no changes tohow you thought it worked.
