I wa going to get an mp3 player and looked into a lot of them, and with the costs for a good one with a decent amount of memory I just finally settled on getting a PSP. It plays mp3s great, plus it plays movies and games. I've been very very happy with it. You can get 2 gig memory sticks for about 60 dollars now.

I can carry Ghostbusters around with me everywhere I go now, and lots and lots of songs. Not to mention Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Lumines :)

Hey, in my research I came across a good brand that I never heard of before but it gets great write-ups. It is Cowon's iAudio (is also listed as jetAudio) and from what I read provides great sound. i was seriously leaning toward a SanDisk until I came across this company.

Ands another thing, the models are whole lot smaller than a PSP. Try running around or working out with a PSP strapped to your arm or waste. :]

Good point. I never considered size at all. I put it in my inner jacket pocket or use the wrist strap when I go walking, but I never thought of people using it while jogging or working out.

Oh well, it still has the advantage of playing games :)

I have heard good things about Cowon. The prices for their units are fairly expensive, however. San Disk has been heavily discounting their products lately. I'm tempted to get the SanDisk Sansa e250 from Amazon.com.

Yes that's true. I've heard some people recommend a PDA for mp3s and I was thinking the same thing (I wouldn't want to listen to any MP3 on a PDA for very long).
