You hit the nail on its head, that was the whole intention behind the Printer Friendly versions :D The spell slots on the Printer Friendly version take up more space and won't fit as replacement for the Limited Feature lines just as it does in the Colorful versions. Even with the Colorful version it is more a leftover from the fact that the option to have Spell Slots preceded the possibility to generate Spell Sheets. Adding that was a pain that I would rather not repeat. Hiding the additional equipment on the Colorful versions is done by showing the Combat Rules section instead. The Printer Friendly versions have that Combat Rules section on a separate page, the Player Reference sheet. Both these things (among others) have been left out intentionally to keep the Printer Friendly sheet simpler, faster, and overall lighter. Not all characters will make equal use of the action section, that is true. If I would add the default actions there would literally be no more space left for actions gained from class/race/feats/etc. Another concious design decision that I won't change. The personality traits are part of the basic rules of 5e, while the feats are optional rules. It doesn't make sense to move them between the pages. Also, there is no way to make more than one space for feats fit on the second page.
