The treasure cave moonlight fight scene in "Pirates" would have gotten my vote.

Personally, the ballot kinda sucked. So here's my vote...

Best Male Performance: Sean Astin as Samwise Gamgee, Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

Best Female Performance: Liv Tyler as Arwen, Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

Best On Screen Team: Orlando Bloom and John Rhys-Davis as Legolas and Gimli, Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

Best Villain: Andy Serkis as Gollum, Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

Best Fight: Battle at Gondor, Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

Best Breakthrough Female: Mirando Otto as Eowyn, Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

Best Breakthrough Male: Orlando Bloom as Legolas, Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

Best Movie: Lord of the Ring: The Return of the King.

One more note: The MTV of today is nothing compared to the early days. IOW, the music video cable channel of 2003-2004 kinda sucked.

The battle at Gondor was nonimated for best action section, and IMO it should win. Best fight is usally more personal. FotR and TTT both won for best movie at the last 2 MTV movie awards. Good sign.
I do agree that MTV today sucks. All it is is real world/ road rules crap, not music. They should just rename it the 20 something channel and leave the videos to VH1, at least the non video stuff they show there has something to do with music.
