multi-setting adventure

I'm working on putting together an adventure that would take my players from grayhawk, through a spelljammer adventure, into an Al-quadim adventure and then on to Athas eventually and back again. You know, a real epic journey. I was wondering if anyone knows of any material out there where this was already done. Maybe a module that was written after spelljammer was released that spanned many worlds perhaps.

Athas - aka Dark Sun, was made to be next to impossable for crosser over with any other 2ed setting. This was done with good reason. Metal weapons are rare and metal was unheard of. And per what was said in dragon mag, any incoming wizard/sorcerer will be a defiler until they learn about the difference and choose to learn to be a preserver.

That's true and you make a good point, but I'm taking my campaign to a level where other worlds are familiar with each other, including athas, which I am kind of treating like a 1970's USSR, iron curtain kind of thing where the pc's will have to be covert, conceal their identities and their purpose. They'll have to use the weapons and equipment of that world and unfortunately magic (other than items) won't be available to them. Definitely a trial by fire. I am however allowing dark sun characters to travel from athas but only one way (defecting) and they have to modify their ability scores a little. I figure it is the rough and rugged land of athas that makes them hard and strong in the first place, and once the acclimate to grayhawk or FR, they will soften up a bit.

I'm really wanting to use 2e to it's furthest potential and scope. Something I have never done before and I don't think most attempt. I'm sure I'll have to home-brew the cohesive tissue though.

Dragonwarrior 3 actually had a portal to another world open up once you had defeated the main boss so the scenario is not unheard of although I personally would make it another planet if I was going to run such a scenario.
