multi stat casting?

So I'm considering a prestige class which depends on both charisma and constitution to be effective for the spells/supernatural abilities. (not sure which was they will fall at this point). I want this to have drawbacks (need con-10 and cha-10 to spell level to cast, concentration duration spells now limited by con, etc) and possible advantages (save dcs = 10 + spell level + cha modifier + 1/2 con modifier).

How bad is stacking modifiers for save dcs in terms of balance? Bear in mind that since this will be a "start over on spell level" PrC, the saves will be lower than if the spell was gained through normal progression. (ie, PrC gets horrid wilting around the same time as a straight wiz would, but its listed as a 4th level spell for them, hence -4 to the DC)

Thoughts? benifits worth the drawbacks?

How will bonus spells work?

probably based on con to keep with the flavor of strenuous "casting". not sure though. Adding bonus spells for each would likely be very overpowered, but tempting...

To work with two stats, you really want to change the mechanics of the spells.

For example, you could have effects which increased with Con bonus instead of with level, while DC went up with Charisma. E.G.: Fireball does 5d6, +1d6/Con bonus point, Reflex DC 13 + Cha bonus.

Obviously, you'll need to do some work to make all the numbers fit, but IMHO it's better than using two modifiers for the same thing.
