Multiclass Healing Powers

You can use the power once per day.

Not the question. The question is whether the feat implies that you can use the Majestic Word power, which includes two uses in one encounter, or whether you can do one 'action' of the power once a day. Official sources are giving conflicting answers. ex The CB in the Aug update deleted the encounter rider out of MW. In Sept, its back.

The general rule is the power itself, and the feat says 'Do this, except this' and thus you use the exception.

Uh, yeah. Thats my interpretation also. Now what does it mean? A, B or C?

How does an encounter power(or some dailys) that give multiple uses work over more than one encounter if all the uses arent expended? I'd guess they end on a short rest, but its unclear.

However, it does not change the Usage type of the power--the power does not become a Daily power. This means that if you have abilities that key off of encounter powers or recharge them, they -do- work on Healing Words granted from multiclass feats.

Thats more a penalty than a boon. It means that say a Demigods autorenewal power wont go off unless you also spend a daily ability. Bad idea.

The answer is:

A. One use a day

I would also tag it as a daily power, but i understand that everyone might not agree with me (looking at you DS). This just seems, to me, the simplest and most consistent way to deal with it.

Unless you use abilities that refresh encounter powers. Then it's a boon. It's only a penalty with a few select abilities.

Not that this is conclusive in any way but Character Builder re-coded my Majestic Word as a Daily Power, while leaving the number of uses per encounter the same in the text description, for my Bard multi-class ability.

Character Builder makes all sorts of little mistakes. My Gnome Illusionist had Ghost Sound as an Encounter power (because he was a Gnome) but was missing it as an at will (from his class).

I thought this was one of those dead-and-buried rules questions. The Multiclass gives you one use per day, end of sentence, full stop. I thought this was dealt with in a faq at one time...
