Multiclassing, Skill Trainining, and Rangers thoughts and oddities.

Ok, don't get me wrong, by all means make the characters you want, but isn't taking a non ranger and putting them into the ranger's TWF paragon path a really, really bad idea? I kind of figured that was why they made it impossible. Because its a fighting style that's incompatible with your base character class.

That's useful, but, without a more extensive re-write, the conclusion at the end of WotC-Miko's para isn't quite right; it's a minor action to mark, and it lasts until the end of the next turn, so it will benefit two attacks, plus any AoO on the same target in between. That's actually not unbalanced with the sneak attack, either, since it does more damage than the mark.

Edit: Do'h! I'd say ninja'ed, but it was already there long ago, so: Failed Perception check! (Yeah, it's an untrained skill... :D )

Not really ... the Fighting Style choices aren't that big of a deal. Two-Blade Fighting style opens up a few more weapons to use in that off-hand, but it's quite servicable without if you can live with a d6 weapon in your off-hand. Sure, a d8 or d10 would be nicer ...

Aside from that, your choice of Fighting Style gives you a bonus feat. And that's it. No more. Well, except for locking off half your paragon paths. (A less cynical approach might describe it as 'opening up' half your paragon paths, I suppose ... )
