Multiple Double Taps

Q: If using two guns, can you Double Tap with both weapons in the same round?

A: Sure. And of you have multiple attacks (due to a high BAB), you can double-tap on each attack. The restrictions are that you suffer the -2 modifier on each attack (which can get pretty steep if you're stacking it on top of two-weapon fighting penalties) and that you have to have enough ammo in the weapon.

So, if I attack with two-weapons and double tap with 1 of them, the penalty would be -4 for each attack. If I double tap both then the penalty is -6. If I have 3 attacks with two weapons and double tap all 3 then each attack gets -8.

Correct?

Actually, I was under the impression that if you double-tapped, the penalty was only to that individual attack.

As in, if you attack at +8/+3, and you double-tap on your first attack, you're firing at +6/+3. If you wanted to only double-tap on your second attack, you'd be at +8/+1.

It does say "You receive a penalty on THIS attack", and nothing about receiving a penalty on all attacks made that round -- as it does with Power Attack and Two-Weapon-Fighting.

EDIT: To specifically answer your case, let's say you've got a mid-level guy who's firing at:

+10/+5

With Two-Weapon Fighting, he's firing at:

+8/+8/+3

If he double-taps on his first shot but none of the others, he's at:

+6/+8/+3 -- and the one at +6 does more damage.

If he double-taps on his first two shots, he's at:

+6/+6/+3 -- and the two at +6 do more damage.
