Multiple Spirits/Souls In The One Body

3 souls, I'm guessing one belongs to the original body ...

I'd make the 2 other souls make DC check (against on #1's will save) to take over ... ANY TIME YOU FEEL LIKE IT!!! :] ... or make a roll during any stressful situation (or have the player make a will save or loose control to one of the other souls)

Yeah. I'm pretty sure mine is floating in an amorphous cloud around me and that gravity is the force from above that is pushing me into the earth.

;) I suppose sometimes we should go with defaults to make discussion easier.

DC

Gravity IS pushing you into the earth. :)

One way I dealt with this was using the ancient Egyptian model of the soul. There are many good discussions of this, but I basically broke it down to the Ka, Ba, and Shu. The KA, or "double," of a man may be defined as an abstract individuality or personality which was endowed with all his characteristic attributes, and it possessed an absolutely independent existence. It was free to move from place to place upon earth at will, and it could enter heaven and hold converse with the gods. The ka required food (typically offerings) and without it would perish.
The BA is often interpretted to mean soul but the real meaning of the word seems to be something like "sublime," "noble," "mighty." The BA dwelt in the KA, and seems to have had the power of becoming corporeal or incorporeal at will; it had both substance and form, and is frequently depicted on the papyri and monuments as a human-headed hawk; in nature and substance it is stated to be ethereal. It had the power to leave the tomb, and to pass up into heaven or travel forth to secure food and bring it back to the tomb; it could, however, and did, revisit the body in the tomb, and from certain texts it seems that it could re-animate it and hold converse with it.
The KHU was the immortal, radiant and shining part of the soul that lived inside the intellect, will, and intentions of the deceased. It appeared from the physical body after the judgement in the underworld was passed successfully; it had all the mental and spiritual abilities of a living body.

Cheers! :)
