The Kickstarter for Mutants in the Next by Julian Kay is now live from May 10th to June 10th! The modern mutant-animal tabletop role-playing game, Mutants in the Now, is evolving onward with human-born mutants, wild mutations, new species, weird psionics, nefarious villains, and more! The core game set the stage, and now it's time to get strange.

Illustrated with all-new art by Sophie Campbell (Wet Moon, Shadoweyes, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and Fábio Fontes (Buck Up and Drive!, Millennium Blades, Pixel Tactics), and edited by Will Jobst (Torq, Black Mass, This Discord Has Ghosts in It) it's set to make a splash in both play and portrayal. Moreover, there's a slate of creators set to include via stretch goals, including:
  • Comics and game author Crystal Fraiser (Cheer Up, Pathfinder, Gamma Flight)
  • Illustrator Darren M.A. Calvert (Mutants & Masterminds, Acquisitions Incorporated)
  • Game designer and translator Ewen Cluney (Maid, Golden Sky Stories, Magical Fury)
  • Game designer and programmer Steve Radbaugh (Mines of Immortia)
Set to run from May 10th to June 10th, Mutants in the Next will give both new and existing fans an opportunity to pick up Mutants in the Now and Mutants in the Next, and rejuvenate the genre of mutant animal role-playing once exemplified by long-lost games like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness and After the Bomb. It's for the animals.
