Mutants!

I'm creating a D&D adventure for 4th level characters and I think I'm a little short on the variety of monsters. Because of the setting, I'm looking to create some mutated creatures for the PCs to fight. Right now, I have the following sources of information to create mutated creatures: Dragon 350, Savage Species, and the spellwarped template from MMIII. Does anyone have any other suggestions; for my purposes, I'm restricted to d20 material easily compatible with D&D that was published by WoTC or a licensed Paizo product.

The voidmind creature template in MMIII could work, as could the half-farspawn in Lords of Madness. These two templates might work as well:

Bloodstained Creature

Plague Carrier

Maybe this is too trite right now, but what about the savage creature template from the Bullywug Gambit (Savage Tide, Dungeon 140)?
