Amazon has just informed me that it isn't going to ship my books, and is "trying to obtain" them.

Not even a "we're going to get them to you in a month and a half"

Now it might be that Amazon are going out with menaces in their attempt to find them for me, but somehow I doubt it

So I've cancelled my Amazon order and I'll have to see if I can pick one up on Monday. I'm not holding out high hopes...

Amazon just e-mailed a response to my e-mail to them. They are sorry to have Blah-blah-blah and are upgrading my shipping to two day at no charge (from super saver). They are not sure when they will get it back into stock, but as soon as they do, it'a on it's way to me.

Amazon has a 30 days price guarantee such that if 30 days after your order they drop the price, they'll refund the difference. The catch is that you have to ask for it.

That's the pre-order price matching. There's also a post order price matching, but you have to ask. Pre-order matching covers the lowest price between your order date and the shipping date, and happens automatically.

I really hope it's lying before my door (and not just a notification that I wasn't there to receive the order and it's now at the post office).

Amazon.ca shipped mine on Tuesday...I shot my mouth off here and they're still not here (monday or tuesday supposedly). They sat all the rest of the week in Ontario

Finally got them today.

First impression: These are some good looking books. Not to sound like a broken record, but I'm reminded again of 2nd edition here, in look and function, but with a modern sensibility, rather than all the woodcuts.

The DMG is freaking PACKED. I can't even begin to absorb this right now. But it may well have all the parts I need to flesh out that Eberron 4e game I'm building...

Whether 4e ends up being my game of choice, it is definitely a well put together game.

Pre-ordered May 22nd, Super saver shipping. So some of you can hate me for ordering after you did, getting free shipping and still getting them right away.

Delivery estimate the 16th, but I have fingers crossed that they get here before the weekend.

I live in Utah, and it is coming USPS from Denver.
