My Charecter and the game

I have a level 7 Elven Cleric of Technology. Our Dm is a creative and comitted guy. This game is by far the best dnd I have ever played. However it is an extremely fast pace game and we are looking at a time table of a year. Is it possible to make the game as interesting without the extremely fast pace?

Ya, it is. A slower pace game I've found requires players to really be into their PCs. But it really depends on what you mean by fast pace. Are you under the gun so to speak in that you need to acomplish things in a certain time? Are you always going out and adventuring with no down time? How is it fast paced?

I've found that heavy role playing games are usually of a slower pace. Especially when you mix in a few sessions where no dice are rolled.
