My Crafty Dachsund

I have been wondering why my lil' 9 month old Dachsund keep climbing back to lay upon the tangle of cables that lies at my feet beneath my desk.

I had convinced myself that it was an expression of love and wanting to be close, an example of the timeless bond between man and canine, as proof of unquestioning loyalty that she would choose to lay near my possibly odiferous socks acquired from a long day of work.

Alas...

As I sat down at my PC and surfed the forums, my foot chanced to rest upon my DSL modem....which was warm....very warm.....

Then my dear puppy walked up, gave me a look.....laid down upon the DSL modem and gave a great sigh of contentment.

That's cute. My dog does the same thing sometimes. Although I have to dust the inside of the computer every couple months, because of the fur that builds up from him laying against it... It's okay though, he keeps my feet warm in the winter.

heck, sometimes my wife's DSL modem would get buried under a pile of clothes and by the time i'd find it, it would be very hot to the touch. i was worried it would start a fire or something!
