My dog loves her tarrasque!

When my wife and I leave the house together and come home again, our dog, Sholeh, always expects us to bring her home a treat - a new toy or something edible - often the two are interchangeable as she promptly desroys the most durable toys and loves to play with her food.

The other night, we had to go to the local Walmart, so we stopped and looked through the pet section and found these latex foam squeek toys, one of which bore a striking resemblance to the tarrrasque. It cost less than a dollar, so we figured we'd buy it for her and clean up the mess after dinner. She's had the toy now for two days and has yet to damage it in the slightest. She totes it around with her, curls up with it to go to sleep, squeeks it during the best part of the tv show or movie. She loves the thing.

I have a dog that destroys any toy that goes near his mouth also. But he's also had the occasional toy that strikes him for whatever reason and that he'd never damage. He got a stuffed bear toy once, and toted it around EVERYWHERE for two years. I think he lost it this past winter while chasing after a deer (we live on a large farm).

It's awesome that yours happens to be a Tarrasque. What a great 'favored toy'

My 80 lb dog IS the Terrasque.

She's often nosing around our battleboard, stepping on our miniatures. So far, nothing the characters have tried has stopped her. Very disconcerting for them.

My sister just got a second Miniature Italian Greyhound. His name is Lucky (nuts, I was saving that for my gravestone). Well, my sisters other Miniature Italian Greyhound, Blaze, is just that a blaze. He has so much energy and isn't potty trained yet (over hill, over dale, his puddles will never fail), and he has been teaching Lucky many things. I bought both of them a squeaky black godzilla toy and they love 'em.

The AKC makes a series of dog toys that look (and possibly taste) like real animals (and Target sells them). Squirrels, ducks, rabbits. My dogs really like the squirrel toys, since they go crazy trying to catch real squirrels. Pretty durable, too, they go through socks and pretty much every other sort of toy in about an hour (or less).

Also, I discovered they like to chase a laser dot. I was playing with my cats with one, and they went crazy over it.

My friend's dog, Kato, loves the laser pointer. She chases that thing everywhere.

Once I had her going around in circles following the thing for so long that she almost fell down from dizziness afterwards.
