My kids are better role-players than me

I would pay cash money to watch that game.

Some years back, I was playing in a live-action game, in which people could play virtually any character from history or literature. One guy chose to be Buck Rogers, and, of course, another chose to be Ming the Merciless.

Ming has a young son, also playing in the game, as "Unstoppable Robot #5", one of Ming's robot minions. UR5 nearly derailed the game. He decided that while Ming was a bad guy, the robot just wanted to be nice. Around the game space were dishes of candy for folks to snack from, and UR5 decided he wanted to make sure *everyone* got candy, and he systematically handed out jelly beans, making sure he missed nobody.

Everyone in the game went, "What, Ming's robot is handing out little pills, encouraging us to eat them? What's Ming planning?!?!" It became a major plot for about half a day, with people trying to figure out what was going on.

Having this kid in game also led to his father uttering one of the best lines ever: The robot was happily dismantling some piece of MingCo machinery, and Ming shouted, "Unstoppable Robot #5! Stop!" The kid, true to the character, completely failed to stop, and it actually took Ming's player a moment to figure out why the rest of us were laughing so hard...
