My Last Day!

The_Universe

First Post
Today is my last day at my current employer (BearingPoint, a Washington DC consulting firm)! I just have a couple of administrative hoops to jump through, a lunch with my team, and a few fond "goodbyes" between me and the future!

I'm not working at all, next week - I'll relax for a couple of days, and then we're off to Gen Con on Wednesday morning! We come back sunday night - and monday I start a new job with the United States Department of Defense (civillian)!

All in all, it's an exciting time - but I have to say I'm *most* looking forward to not doing anything for a couple of days. Huzzah!

Interesting....I work for their prior parent firm. KPMG....

Congratulations, Universe. I wish you great success in your new job. And even greater success in your slacking and downtime. ;)

Congratulations! Welcome to the exciting world of government service, number 0384629810. What's your pay grade, if you don't mind me asking. GS-#?

What an odd coincidence. Today is also my last day with my current employer. But I will start my new job on Monday, only working Monday and Tuesday, since I'll be going to Gen Con.

What's even more odd, is that I too will begin a job with the department of Defense. I guess. It's the Defense Comissary agency - they oversea all the military comissaries.

How funny.

Until last march, we were still using KPMG's network and VPN to work from the client site!

But no longer...I turn in my SecurID today.

I am the one that deleted you from the KPMG SecurID network in March... :) Therein lies my work....Information Security.... :)
