My OD&D campaign

Rules Cyclopedia is one hardcover book. It goes up to 36th level but does not cover Immortals rules, as far as I know.
IIRC, it mentioned Immortals and said something about the four paths to Immortality, but didn't go into detail on the topic.

Yah, the old Master's rules had "how to become an immortal" and I think that is what is in the RC. But the Immortal's rules had "now that you are an immortal, what do you do?" and that was not incorperated into the RC.

By the way, are their any alignment conflicts within the party? I mean, you have an Avenger (chaotic, right?) and a lawful thief. Or does that not come up much?

I'm not really sure what you mean about "all the options"; its really quite straightforward.

I'm referring to the new rules introduced in Gazetteers, especially to the new character classes.

Things like the Dwarf-Cleric, the Rake and The Forester from Dawn of the Emperors, Dervish spell list from Emirates of Ylaruam, Merchants from The Republic of Darokin, Hakoman magicusers and Shamans from Golden Khan of Ethengar, Merchant-Prince of Minrothad from The Minrothad Guilds, The Master from The Five Shires, the Shadow Elf and Shadow Elf Shaman class from Gaz 13.

Any chance that you might post a 'story hour' chronicle of your campaign?

It sounds really entertaining!

Well, this thread is a kind of log. I'm not too clear on what a "story hour chronicle" is?

I think a Geas or Quest spell might do the trick . . .

Nah, I don't want to be that heavy-handed. Bear in mind there's still a lot of campaign to go, they're only 8th level on average and we're playing to 36th.

Eventually, they too will tire of the Shires.

Well, maybe the Halfling won't. But he can't keep them there forever. :p

It has quite a bit of details on the immortals, and the four paths, enough that a DM could do a "quest for immortality" if all he had was the RC. But, to really do it right, you need "Wrath of the Immortals", which I also have.

Thus far there haven't been any conflicts, because the party has been all chaotic and neutrals.

The thief has only just joined and who knows how he'll end up mingling with the rest of the party.

Note that this character is played by the same player who lost two characters in a row last session, the thief and the magic-user, in both cases at least partially because he was playing them in an annoying way and the rest of the party left him out to dry.
So it'll remain to be seen whether the player himself will get the hang of the game and be able to work with the rest of the group.

He's joined my Classic campaign from my Port Blacksand/blue rose campaign, where he's doing a great job of playing a scheming member of the Old Families, but maybe he's not cut out for the kind of team-work that's needed to be in a classic D&D party.

Ah, all that stuff. Right.

Well, the fact is I intend to theoretically allow all of them. But, each option is only really common in the nation where the option originates. Some, like the Halfling Master, really aren't viable for Player Characters, because they require full-time dedication.

Others might be possible for PCs, but they'll have to go to those nations first. So the real answer is it hasn't come up yet.

There is a separate 'story hour' forum here at ENworld for campaign 'logs'. See:
http://www.enworld.org/forumdisplay.php?f=14

Most do not seem especially interesting (though there are exceptions). But your OD&D campaign seems rather humorous/entertaining.

I think what I'm doing on this thread is more useful, really. There's a story log, but there's also general commentary and discussion on the RC/gazeteers/various issues relating to OD&D.
