My son, Drogo

Nice work. Glad you got him started. You have many fun times to look forward to together.

I was putting off regular gaming with my sons, now ages 4, 6 and 8, until Gary Gygax gave me some great advise, and I made it my sig:

"I urge you to make up a simplified version of the D&D game for play with as many of [your children] as are now willing and able to play. The thrill of the adventure and rolling of the dice is likely to make them devoted gamers ever after."

- Col_Pladoh's advice to me, and my advice to you.

We played just this weekend, they stormed a lighthouse that had been taken over by pirates.

I don't know about simplifying it much. Kid's sharp as a tack. Besides he's the second noob in the group, so I've been toning things down for a while anyway (the other rookie had never even heard of RPG's before I met him).

On the other hand, I may have to rethink my plans to send them to Baator now...

Interesting story! I'm one of the players in Tolen Mar's group. I'll just have to see how well Drogo bonds with my chaotic, cant-spewing planar thief ;)
