Mycanid will be away from ENworld until early July.

Yep - it was Cornerstone Kurashu. The only other Blackmetal bands I came across there was Frosthardr. :\

The entire time I ony saw ONE cicada - it was dead and on the airport parking lot. :)

I was gonna be there. But then, I went to Memphis to spend the week with my girlfriend. I was offered to go to the Summer Slaughter Tour in Sauget that Tuesday too.

I've not heard of Frosthardr. Then again, black metal isn't my thing.

The only bands that I really wanted to see there were August Burns Red, mewithoutYou, Norma Jean, The Chariot, and Twelve Gauge Valentine.

It happens though. Memphis was a lot more fun than Cstone would have been; besides, there's always next year.

Yeah ... I got to meet some of the folks from Norma Jean and the Chariot. I was told by a friend that the mewithoutYou show was great. Didn't go there myself. Much of that music there just ain't my taste. :)

mewithoutYou is, in a word, amazing. Then again, I've been listening to a lot of folk/indie/old school emo lately (think Sunny Day Real Estate). To my surprise, my two extremes of music (metal/hardcore/grind and folk/indie/emo) actually compliment each other rather than compete with each other.

Admittedly the only music played there I really ENJOYED per se was some of the stuff by the Crossing. It's Irish folk music. They ain't the Chieftains or the Battlefield Band, but good enough. :) Prolly my favorite type of music would be Celtic folk music.... Then some types of Chill Out or really droney Space/New Age music.

Classical music too - but for me that is in a different category.

And above all that is religious chant. But I won't go into that too much (rules of the boards and such).

Thought I'd say hello, and welcome you back Myc. :) And so you know, I never got huge during my pregnancy.. but my tummy did! ;)

Aww ... thanks ma'am. Sweet of you to say so. :)

And, of course, congrats on a fine healthy baby girl.

Btw ... where'd all this demon pig stuff come from?

Wow. So this is what it looks like to be missed. When I leave everyone seems happy and sad when I return, but Mycanid seems to have people that actually seem sad he's going, and might be happy when he returns. ;)

How does that work? :\

Just noticed this post - sorry I didn't answer earlier Harmon. :)

But to be honest, I don't know how to properly answer your question. :\ Folks here in EW have apparently just taken it into their head to be nice to the poor ole fungus I guess.
