These very small, extraplanar fleas have a wide range of uses if you can get one to follow you around. They are notorious cowards, though, so don't be surprised if they run off at the slightest hint of danger, only to return when it's safe. They can be used as back-up condition healers when there's no Cleric, but their ability does not come without a price, as described below.

Drink Blood: By succeeding on a jump, grapple, and touch attack on the opponent, one of these creatures may choose to, instead of dealing 1 point of damage, to deal a number one point of Con damage for every round they maintain their grapple check. They may take a 20 on all grapple checks, provided the target is unaware of their presence.
Cure Condition Effects: By dealing 1 point of Con damage to a willing target, one of these creatures may automatically cure any disease or poison inflicted on that person. Also, by dealing a certain number of points of Con damage, they may counter the effects of a Hold Person or similar spell. To activate this effect, they must deal a number of points of Con damage equal to one-half the level of the spell they are countering.
Regeneration: No form of attack deals lethal damage to these creatures. They do not die, even if they fail their saving throw against a Disintegration spell or death effect. If it fails its save against an instant death effect, such as those described above, it instead takes nonlethal damage equal to its full normal hit points +10 (or 26 hp). They are also immune to effects that produce incurable wounds, such as mummy rot, a weapon with the bleeding property, or a Clay Golem's cursed wound ability. The only way to make sure one stays dead is to reduce them to their full normal hit points +10 and cast a Wish or Miracle spell to keep them dead.
Improved Jump: Being fleas, these creatures all get a racial +40 on all jump checks, and can always take a 20 on Jump checks, even if stress or distractions would normally not permit them to. In addition, taking a 20 on their jump checks does not take the 20 times longer normally added on by taking a 20.
Jumping Grab: One of these creatures may add their Jump modifier to Grapple checks when attempting to grapple after jumping at the creature.
Improved Grab: To use this ability, they must make a successful Jump check to enter into an occupied square, and must make a Grapple check, adding their Jump modifier to the bonus. If it succeeds, any attack they make are considered touch attacks until such time as their grapple is forcibly ended.

Note on feats: Low Key grants a +2 bonus on disguise and hide checks, and Contemptible Target makes it so that opponents do not attack you if they threaten anyone else and you have not attacked or cast any spells.

I'd say that they should at least rival Thri'kreens in terms of jumping ability ... so more like a +30 to jump.

As well, perhaps it was just that Myoga was an Old naturally-high Int type, but he was extremely intelligent, with many ranks in knowledge.

Of course, you're going for an average Demon Flea, so that works fine for a +4 modifier.

That's the only real problem: we only have one real example to extrapolate from, and like all of the main characters, he's far from ordinary. (I think any character with any connection to the Inu-no-Taishou would fall under that category).
